The WY Cowboy®

Not who you are but, what you are.

As early as 1918 Wyoming has been known as the Cowboy State with the bucking bronco as its symbol.

Steamboat, the actual horse, who was ridden in the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo in 1909, from a ranch near Chugwater WY, was given to Cheyenne Frontier Days. He is buried on the Frontier Park grounds near bucking chute #9, the only animal ever given the honor of being interred on park grounds.

Inducted into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in OK City in 1975, into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs CO in 1979 and in the Frontier Days Hall of Fame in Cheyenne WY in 2002.

The Golden Buffalo® Fine Jewelry has the registered license agreement with the University of WY to design, manufacture and sell the WY Cowboy® jewelry line.
